How MTR works, what it costs, and how to buy it.
Answers to what buyers, actuaries, and security reviewers ask most.
What MTR is
- What does MTR actually produce?
A simulation of your competitive market rather than a description of it. The engine models every carrier in your footprint, county by county, and computes the configurations that lead to high or low value outcomes, and how durable your pathways to those outcomes are. The MTR Latitude Study delivers that as an interactive map brief for your markets.
- How is this different from the competitive intelligence we already buy?
Established products describe the field as it is now, using data that is already public. They are accurate and they are rear-view. MTR is anticipatory by construction: it models what competitors are positioned to do next and what happens to your position when they do it.
The practical difference shows up in timing. Existing tools are most useful after the landscape files publish in October. MTR concentrates on the window from January through May, when you have to commit and nobody can see the field.
- What are MTR Foresight and MTR Frontier?
2 lines. Foresight reads where each market travels under its own momentum: who enters, who expands, who withdraws. Frontier builds on it: which deliberate move beats that course, how rivals are modeled to respond, and how durable the advantage is.
Foresight is available on its own. Frontier includes Foresight.
- Is MTR SIGMA a chatbot?
No. SIGMA is an agent that works over computed output. It plans what to retrieve, runs the math across your studies, and answers with the run and model version behind every figure. It has no opinions about your market beyond what the engine computed, and it will tell you when nothing was computed for a question.
Data and security
- Do you need our data?
No. MTR is built entirely from public data. Nothing connects to your systems, so there is no integration project, no data-sharing agreement, and no IT queue between you and the first study.
- Is there any PHI involved?
None. The platform never touches protected health information, which takes a large category of review off the table before it starts.
- Who can see our study?
Studies are licensed per entity to named readers. Access scope is defined in your agreement, and the same scoping governs MTR SIGMA and MTR API keys when they ship.
Working with us
- How is it priced?
Parametrically. Price follows your footprint, the rivals you track, and your lines of business, starting from a $30,000 minimum. Our configurator computes an estimate from published CMS enrollment for your own organization; and final pricing is confirmed on a one-page order form.
- How often does it refresh?
4 releases a year, each keyed to the CMS publication events that change the answer rather than to arbitrary quarters, so a release lands before the decision it informs.
- How long until we see something?
We are actively booking our pilot cohort. Advanced materials will be available beginning in Q4 2026.
Evidence
Accuracy, limits, and the audit chain
How the accuracy figure is measured and what it does not cover, what MTR refuses to claim and why, and how any figure traces back to the computation behind it.
